If you're preparing to get fencing installed, but have a variety of plants that are growing along the perimeter of your property, it's a good idea for you to look into how you can move these plants away.  By relocating plants away from where you intend on having fencing installed, you can make sure that you're able to preserve the plants you want to keep, while still ensuring that the fence is installed without any problem. Consider the following three tips for safely moving away your plants.

Use Containers to Temporarily Hold Plants

If you want to keep the plants alive so that you can replant them after the fence has been installed, make sure you get some containers ready. The containers can be as simple as a large bucket with soil and water already in it. Carefully taking out your plants and moving them into containers can help greatly in keeping your plants thriving while the fencing is being installed.

Make sure to keep the containers in a safe location and water them regularly if the fencing is going to take a while to get installed fully.

Make Sure the Roots Are Removed Carefully

Another thing to keep in mind in order for the plants to stay alive after being moved is that the roots are taken care of. When you're moving plants, you need to make sure that the roots are fully removed so that the plants do not die prematurely. Roots that are left in the soil can also lead to the fencing having stability issues later, making it important that you pay attention to whether or not the roots have been fully removed when the fencing is being installed.

Dispose of Invasive Plants That Can Damage Fencing

If you have some plants that are growing along the perimeter of where the fencing will be installed, you may decide that you don't want to keep some of them. Invasive plants that grow poorly, as in too big and difficult to maintain, may not be in your plans for landscaping. This makes it a good opportunity to get them removed fully so that you can only select the plants that you want to keep included in your landscaping.

As you prepare for getting fencing installed on your property, you need to consider what needs to be done with the plants that are currently in the area. By removing some plants and keeping those that you like, you can make sure that your landscaping looks great and that the fencing can be finished up with new plants running alongside it.
